5 Swimwear Micro-Trends That Are About to Make It Big
As we get deeper and deeper into the thick of summer, swim trends are starting to finalize, and fashion girls are finally revealing some of their favorite styles of the season. So far, we have observed some of the styles we are expecting to be heavy hitters, but amid the search, we have found a handful of smaller trends that are maybe not going to be as big but are important nonetheless: swim micro-trends. We love praising micro-trends here at Who What Wear, as we feel they are what help keep this industry exciting and fresh.
So it is without further ado that we present to you the five swim micro-trends that are about to make it big in the fashion world this summer. Including some of the styles we've teased you with already this year and a few more newbies, the selection below will have you feeling ready for summer, no matter how it shapes up to be this year.
Bold Pinks
From bubble gum to tie-dye, bold pink hues are popping up everywhere this summer, and we are here for every iteration under the sun.
Shop the trend:
Formal Swim
Believe it or not, fancy swimwear is a micro-trend that is stunning and, thanks to the plethora of options, feels oddly approachable. Whether it's beaded fringe, structured tops, or dramatic belts and bows, this trend is one that will turn heads for sure.
Shop the trend:
Retro Florals
Florals that look like they were stripped off of wallpaper from the '60s and '70s are popping up on swimsuits from popular brands all over the map. Whether it's both the style and the print that are retro or just the print itself, this micro-trend is one to be seen in this summer.
Shop the trend:
Floss Bikinis
Floss bikinis might be one of my favorite swim micro-trends of the season. The wraparound strings add such an exciting, new element to even the most basic of bikinis.
Shop the trend:
Lingerie-Inspired
Swimwear that looks like lingerie is always a good idea if you ask me, but this season, fashion girls are embracing it more than ever. From underwire tops to delicate lace and bows, these swimsuits are almost identical to your negligé drawer.
