8 Trends (and Classics) Meghan Markle Always Incorporates Into Her Outfits
I wouldn't consider myself a royal-obsessed person (the only season of The Crown I watched was Princess Diana's), but something about their style always intrigues me. Since her Suits and The Tig days, I've been a fan of Meghan Markle and still love to keep up with her current looks. She always looks perfectly elevated and put-together. Examples include her Givenchy wedding dress and the street style looks she's worn since leaving her royal title behind. While keeping track of her looks, I've noticed there are a few core pieces she tends to rely on often as a part of her signature style. As someone who surely has access to a large variety in terms of sartorial choices, she lets her personal style shine by keeping to a selection of styles she knows and loves.
Below, you'll find the eight trends (and classics) that will almost always be incorporated into a Meghan Markle ensemble. With pointed-toe pumps and tailored coats, she never misses. Keep scrolling for more.
Coordinated Suiting
While Markle's latest look was a more trend-forward version of suiting, she often sports a good suit set. Whether you want to keep it more structured and formal or opt for the oversize look, a suit is the sure way to look polished instantly.
Heeled Pumps
I don't think I've ever seen Markle not wearing heeled pumps, and I think it's because she pulls off the classic shoe silhouette so well.
Tailored Coats
There are plenty of outerwear options on the market, but a tailored coat is a royal favorite.
Midi Dresses
I have to agree with Markle on the fact that the midi dress is the superior length. It looks more sophisticated and is much easier to style than a maxi or mini in my opinion.
Turtlenecks
Whether it's layered or worn as is, Markle loves a good ol' turtleneck. It's a cold-weather staple, so it's always good to have one on deck when the temperature drops.
Midi Skirts
I hate to be biased, but just like the midi dress is superior, so is the midi skirt. if you need proof, you can see that the medium length style is a part of the market majority.
Saturated Shades
Saturated shades were a top trend of 2021, and both Markle and Kate Middleton know how to work a showstopping hue.
Skinny Jeans
In the skinny jeans vs. wide-leg jeans argument, it's safe to say that Markle is a ride-or-die skinny-jeans girl.
