Meghan Markle's Travel Pants and Flats Make Every Flight Better

Meghan Markle is on the move—heading to Europe for the Invictus Games, to be precise—and she's sporting the perfect travel outfit for the 10.5-hour flight. As someone who admittedly struggles with long-flight outfit planning, I appreciate all the help I can get (even if Meghan Markle didn't intend to help me).

While everything about Markle's outfit for the trip was spot-on, it was her pants and shoes that really caught my eye. Markle opted for loose wide-leg pants for the flight, which I find to be a genius move. The loose trousers provide comfort for the lengthy flight while maintaining a polished look. As for her shoes, she chose a pair of chic flat mules, and I'll tell you why that was also a smart move. Obviously, flats are essential on travel days, and the backless pair may not be quite as secure as, say, a pair of sneakers, but the benefit you gain is not having your shoes rub the back of your ankle raw as you walk through a massive airport.

To complete her outfit, Markle wore a V-neck sweater, oversized sunglasses, a designer tote bag, and a straw hat. Scroll on to shop the look, as well as some of my favorite wide-leg pants and flats for flights.
