The Fashion Editor's Secret Weapon for Expensive-Looking High-Street Denim

Sponsor Content Created With Marks and Spencer

Fashion editors love their little style secrets, but due to the nature of our jobs, we're not very good at keeping them. Case in point: Over the last few years, I've heard multiple times on the grapevine that high-street stalwart Marks & Spencer is actually a gold mine of premium-feel and (most importantly) well-fitting denim. Indeed, the brand has just dropped an even more comprehensive edit of silhouettes that would tempt even the most denim-phobic individual.

From classic straight legs and '70s flares to Y2K baggy fits and boot cuts, it's safe to say that the gang's all here. Who What Wear's very own Emily Dawes recently did a story in which she tried on all of the new-in M&S jeans, and we are happy to report that they passed with flying colours. My personal favourite, however, has to be the high-waisted, wide-leg pair, which feels like a refreshing alternative to my go-to mom jeans and brings a satisfying slouch to tailored separates. I'll be styling them for spring with chunky boots, a white T-shirt and an oversized blazer.
