While my body may still be experiencing the cold of winter, my mind is already immersed in all things spring—particularly the fashion. It's with this forward thinking that I've already set about mentally creating our perfect springtime wardrobe. From the next sell-out sandals to the best linen finds, I'm quietly archiving my favourite pieces as I see them, which I'll then loop back around to when the weather changes.
There is, however, one brand that seems to have mastered the art of creating spring-appropriate pieces that you can start wearing right now. And that brand is Marks and Spencer.
Much to my delight, so many of the pieces I saw and loved in the Marks and Spencer S/S 23 press day last year have already started to appear in its new arrivals. From sleek, go-with-everything blazers and premium cashmere to could-be-designer handbags, good old M&S is ticking off top trends left, right and centre—and all on a relatively lean budget.

1. NEUTRAL BLAZERS
I’m officially calling off my search for the perfect leather blazer.
Checked styles always look so chic with light-wash denim.
How frustrating is it when you roll up your blazer sleeves just so, but they keep falling down? This ruched-sleeve blazer eliminates that issue.
2. NEVER-DATE DENIM
My colleague Emily Dawes put me on to these jeans, and I’m forever thankful that she did.
Don't overlook black jeans.
Straight-leg jeans are widely considered trend-proof.
3. SLEEK SHIRTING
This has been on my wish list for the longest time.
Look at the tie detail on the neckline; so pretty.

4. DENIM DRESSES
The long sleeves are ideal for wearing right now.
Try styling this with leggings underneath for now, then forgo trousers and tights when temperatures rise.

5. ELEVATED HANDBAGS
If you were to tell me this bag were designer, I’d believe you.
Crossbodies are essential, and this style looks so sophisticated.

6. SOFT CASHMERE
Is there anything more luxurious than creamy cashmere?
You’ll never regret investing in stripes.
I’m really drawn to this green shade.
7. STAPLE SHOES
These ballet flats are a best seller for the brand.
