If You're a Sex and the City Fan, You'll Lose It Over These Manolo Blahniks
The beloved Carrie Bradshaw will always and forever be associated with her beloved Manolo Blahniks. As far as fictional characters go, the Sex and the City It girl's influence is still unmatched, all these years after the series wrapped. And speaking of Manolo Blahnik, we have the latest evidence Bradshaw's influence has come full circle. The columnist's—nay, author's—favorite shoe brand just announced that it's celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sex and the City with a collection dedicated to the cult-favorite series.
As whimsical as Bradshaw herself, the line focuses on the style that she made (very) famous: the Hangisi pumps (the shoe that Mr. Big literally proposed to Carrie with in the SATC movie.) Since achieving widespread fame, the brand has made a flat version of the embellished satin shoes, and continues to release a variety of new hues each season. For the special limited-edition release, Manolo Blahnik has reimagined the Hangisi in ways that pay tribute to the popular series, including some patterned pumps coined Cosmo, some pumps and flats with a map of NYC, and several styles emblazoned with sayings like "Love" to undoubtedly capture the romantic side of SATC.
According to Footwear News, the collection will be available for purchase on November 15, with some styles available exclusively at Manolo Blahnik stores and others at major luxury department stores. See the collection for yourself below.
