I've Assembled 5 Fail-Safe Winter Outfit Formulas Entirely From Mango
I'm just going to admit I'm a fully fledged #MangoGirl. Well, that's what I like to believe, anyway. I feel as though I can instantly spot when some of the most stylish women on Instagram post a top-to-toe Mango look. Mainly because I spend my life trawling the new-in sections for "work" (read: often just pleasure), but it's also because the high-street brand is, quite honestly, killing it right now.
With so many expensive-looking items—we've all seen that sell-out shearling jacket—to be had, it's no surprise that plenty of Mango's new-season pieces have become instant It items. The bejewelled heels that have graced the grids of almost every fashion girl over the past few weeks? Yes, I bought them. And the new Mango x Camille Charrière party collection that launched this week? I'm already obsessed and planning my party-season wardrobe.
It is safe to say that whatever the occasion, the brand has you fully covered this season. And with the winter weather having hit us hard this week, I've taken it upon myself to build some fail-safe outfit formulas from the best bits I've seen on site this week. From brunch plans and nights out to a simple on-the-go outfit, keep scrolling for my five go-to winter looks, crafted exclusively from Mango. Enjoy!
1. On the Go at the Weekend: Stripes + Shearling + Denim
Style Notes: This casual yet chic look is perfect for errand running or weekend walks. We all know how amazing Mango's shearling-jacket offering is, and if you didn't manage to get your hands on the beige style, this black iteration has got the whole office talking this week. Swap your standard jeans for this cargo pair for extra style points and add chunky boots and an oversized striped sweater. Gold earrings add a touch of winter glam.
Shop the look:
Because no wardrobe is complete without a striped knit.
2. From Day to Night: Bright Coat + Miniskirt + Knee-High Boots
Style Notes: How amazing is this woollen coat? And in this season's Barbiecore colour of choice, too. Add a leather miniskirt and luxe grey roll-neck for added polish. When it comes to footwear, take this outfit from day to night by swapping flat knee-high boots for a heeled pair. Or swap in heels, and change the sweater to a black blouse.
Shop the look:
3. A Festive Night Out: Velvet Suit + Sparkly Accessories
Style Notes: This velvet suit has shot right to the top of my wish list this week, and I just know it will work hard in my party-season wardrobe and beyond. Wear the blazer over a slip skirt or dress and the trousers with oversized sweaters. When it comes to the accessories, you can't go wrong with something sparkly at this time of year. These mules are just sensational, and the bag looks like it has stepped right off the set of Sex and the City. Why not go all out and add glitzy earrings, too?
Shop the look:
Fresh from the Mango x Camille Charrière collection, this velvet suit will make you want to brace the cold weather.
The matching trousers would also look so good with a white T-shirt and bomber jacket.
I've got to say I'm a big fan of a supersized Pat Butcher earring.
4. A Weekend Getaway: Knitted Dress + Camel Coat
Style Notes: There's something so chic about a tonal look. For a weekend, or day trip, away, wear a comfy yet stylish knitted dress with a sleek camel coat and cream knee-high boots to really impress. If you're heading to the countryside and feel like heels aren't practical, sub in chunky flat boots or trainers. Finally, a burgundy crossbody adds a final flourish of polish.
Shop the look:
Believe me, a knitted dress is one of the most versatile styles you can own.
The fact is you can never beat a great camel coat.
Wearing matching colour boots (or in a similar tone) instantly makes a knit dress look more expensive.
5. Brunch Time: White Blouse + Leather Trousers
Style Notes: Heading to brunch or out with your friends? This combo has you covered and is made up of items you most likely already own, too. Pair a white blouse with leather trousers and an oversized blazer for a French-girl feel before adding heeled ankle boots and a selection of simple gold jewellery.
Shop the look:
Not yet invested in a great black blazer? This double-breasted style is one of my favourites on the high street now.
If you don't want to go full cowboy, these subtle nod to the Western boot are key.
