I've Just Found the Perfect Instant Spring Outfit From Mango

Spring has well and truly sprung this weekend, and don’t get me wrong—I’m not complaining one bit—but with the sudden oncoming of the new season, we’ve all had to switch our mindsets (and our wardrobes) pretty sharpish, which has left me wondering what I actually want to wear right now.

As I usually do when I find myself in a wardrobe rut during these transitional times, I’ve turned to my favourite brands’ new-in sections for some inspiration, both for ideas on putting outfits together with the pieces I already own and for narrowing down what exactly is worth buying for spring and the rest of 2022.

For a while now, the new-in sections have been a bit wishy-washy, with the odd selection dropping here and there that wasn’t quite for winter but wasn’t for spring yet either. This week, though, has seen a turning point, and everyone from H&M to Net-a-Porter has released some lovely new pieces that are starting to get me really excited for warmer days.

One of the most exciting finds I’ve come across on my scrolling this weekend isn’t an item I’m going to have to save up for for months to buy (thankfully), and it’s not something I need to worry about what to wear with it either. It’s an instant outfit in itself, and it comes from Mango. I found the tie-dye trousers first, imagining how good they’d be as a comfy alternative to jeans right now, and then when I saw there’s not only a coordinating vest but also a matching cardigan, I was sold. When I scrolled through Instagram only to see Monikh and our columnist Lily wearing them, it was a done deal, and I knew the whole outfit was worth sharing with you all, too.

You can wear them together for an easy instant look, but each piece also works incorporated on its own into your everyday outfits for extra versatility. The chocolate brown makes the outfit feel very chic, and keeps it from being too tropical for the unreliable British weather. But the tie-dye print is really fun and fresh compared to those "boring” winter layers we’re so tired of. You could be heading out to dinner on holiday after a long day in the sun, when actually, you’re getting the Victoria line to Soho.

I’m getting carried away, but keep scrolling, and you’ll find the whole co-ord to shop as well as some other great new-in spring pieces from Mango right now.
