After Spending Hours on the Mango Website, I Had to Try These 9 Pieces Myself
Welcome to The Great Try-On. We're gearing up for spring, and that includes freshening up our wardrobes with some new pieces. We got to try on some of the best spring pieces from some of your favorite brands and documented it all from our at-home dressing rooms so that you can see how they actually look IRL. We hope that our photos and candid reviews will help you shop for spring wardrobe builders and trend-forward pieces that you'll wear over and over this season and beyond.
My favorite time of year has finally arrived. That's right—it's Great Try-On time. My favorite thing about this series is that it's always coming up right at the peak of spring shopping. This is the week that I'm dedicating to an "out with the old, in with the new" mentality. Going through all of my favorite spring items from last year and deciding which to keep has been a lot of fun, especially as I'm making room for some new things.
This is my biggest Mango haul yet, and I'm seriously impressed. Compared to the many other big fashion retailers that I've tried, the quality of the things at Mango is much better. You certainly pay a bit more, but I'm telling you that it's worth it. After my bulk order came through, I sifted through it carefully. I'm a picky shopper, so not everything fully won me over. But these nine things… You've just got to see them for yourself.
Mango Semi-Transparent Knit Set
My Review: I actually first found this set among the pieces in one of my co-worker's articles, and it immediately caught my eye. I love sheer skirts, but they're so tricky to style. This one has built-in shorts, so that seriously simplifies things. While my eyes instantly went to the skirt, I think my favorite part of this look is actually the gauzy knit. It's just so pretty and versatile. I thought it would be too see-through, but with a nude bra, it ended up being perfect.

Mango Leather-Effect Trench Coat
My Review: My ultimate spring purchase is always a trench coat. This one just officially became the best thing in my closet. I love the buttery soft leather and exquisite construction of it. Every detail down to the buttons is absolutely stunning. It's another item that seriously looks designer.

Mango Asymmetrical Pleated Dress
My Review: Do you have a wedding on your calendar this year? I just found the perfect dress for you. It has everything you'll need to stand out among the slip maxis that tend to abound on wedding days—asymmetry, a subtle cutout, and a pleated skirt. I promise you'll get compliments.

Mango Lace Blouse and Pencil Skirt
My Review: I've been loving maxi skirts, but almost all of mine are denim, so I was really excited to try this one on for size. I really love how the massive slit at the hem of the skirt shows off a little bit of leg. This is the wardrobe staple to try if you're looking to give your style a 2023 update. Whether you style it with an oversize sweater or a flirty top, you'll surely be in love. The sheer lace blouse that I tried it on with is perfect for summer nights in the city. Whether it's a dinner date or a night out, we love to see it.

Mango Straight Suit Pants and Maxi Flower Heeled Sandals
My Review: If you haven't heard, everyone is obsessed with 3D floral details right now. When I saw these shoes, I immediately knew that I had to try them on for you guys. They are true to size, and the pop of color is so much fun. My favorite way to style jeans and a tee is with a pair of shoes that are fun and trendy, so I definitely recommend considering these for your next shopping haul. An effortless pair of white pants will be a must-have this summer—just make sure you don't spill your coffee. These puddled on the floor and were the ultimate fashion-person moment.

Mango Leather Midi Skirt
My Review: From the second I put this skirt on and walked out the door, I received endless compliments. Was it the pleats or the vintage-looking leather it was constructed from? Either way, it looks like it came straight off of the spring/summer 2023 runways. I've never seen a more forward-looking skirt. If you want people to know that you're a fashion person, this one is for you.
