Mango's New Designer Collaboration Has Finally Arrived, and We're Obsessed

It's been a long time since we remember there being this much buzz around a high street-designer collaboration. Mango's juicy (that's honestly the best way to describe it) new collection with L.A.-based brand Simon Miller is finally here, and it's been a long time coming. We first got wind of the partnership back in February, when warmer weather felt like lightyears away, but this morning the summer-ready capsule has launched online, just in time for a heatwave—and it's everything we wanted and more.

The collection brings together Simon Miller's über-cool Californian West Coast vibe and the laid-back, Mediterranean style Mango is known for. The result is a playful, carefree wardrobe ready to be worn on those long-remembered hazy summer days. In the brand's words, it's a capsule "inspired by the world that lies under the seas", so you can expect shells, sunshine, luscious blues and plenty of vibrant prints crafted in natural, light fibres and textures like linen, cotton and towelling.

Lucy wears the Oversize Openwork Knit Polo Shirt, matching Openwork Knit TrousersShell Bag and Hair Clip.

While the pieces clearly still feel elevated and design-led, the collection is a refreshing antithesis to the quiet luxury trend that is pervading the fashion zeitgeist right now, and honestly we're here for the breakaway. Last week the brand celebrated the launch with a pretty epic trip to Menorca (which you've probably seen all over Instagram), taking along key industry insiders (including Who What Wear UK's Editor-In-Chief, Hannah Almassi) to see the new collab before it launched. According to Almassi, the trip turned into a celebration of unique style and finding joy through getting dressed. "The influencers on our trip, such as Lucy Williams, Monikh, Lizzy Hadfield and more were the first to roadtest the collection IRL, and every editor, publicist, PR and photographer was enthralled," Almassi says. "Our shopping lists were becoming longer and longer as the days' activities went on, and more pieces were unveiled. It felt so refreshing to see a daring collection at a more affordable price point for once."

Yes, the trip gave us major holiday envy, but it also gave us a chance to see how the best-dressed crowd were styling up the Simon Miller x Mango pieces in preparation for the launch this morning. Clearly, there are some standout pieces (although we'd happily take the whole lot TBH). The breezy blue kaftan dress as seen on Monikh, and Alyssa's sunshine mini are two of our favourite pieces, but we're sure the co-ords are going to fly too. And that shell bag? A guaranteed sellout. In fact, we're predicting many of the pieces won't be around for long, so start scrolling quickly to secure your favourite items below. Then, all that's left to do is book a summer holiday (we'll see you there).
