As Who What Wear editors, it’s our job to bring you the very best pieces to shop. Think of us as your personal style filter. We scroll through hundreds of pages of new-in products and use our years of industry expertise to whittle it down to the pieces we actually believe are worth buying, whether that means investment pieces from the likes of The Row or Manolo Blahnik that you’ll no doubt cherish in your collection forever, high-street buys that tick off the hottest new trends, or—my personal favourite—affordable classics that look just as good as designer styles.

Today, I’m focusing my research on Mango in particular, one of my all-time favourite high-street destinations for on-trend pieces that last way beyond just one season. And apparently, I’m not the brand’s only fan. So often I come across winning pieces on the site only to find that everyone else has beaten me to them, and the items are now sold out. So as we head into late summer and start to think about autumn/winter (it might sound mad in a heatwave, but remember September is only days away), I'm planning on getting ahead and investing in those hero buys early to avoid disappointment.

It helps that Mango has just dropped an epic new collection. It has a mostly Western vibe (always one of my favourite autumn trends and set to be huge for A/W 22 in particular), and although there are so many great pieces, I’ve pinpointed five in particular that really stand out. From a fringed jacket I’ve seen all over Instagram already to a pair of embellished slingbacks you may well find familiar, these are items that, from experience, I can basically guarantee will sell out. I plan on styling them all up now with more summery pieces and then layering them up throughout autumn and winter.

Keep scrolling to see my top five buys from Mango right now.

1. The Fringed Jacket

2. The (Faux) Leather Trousers

3. The Embellished Slingbacks

4. The Perfect Trench Coat

5. The Cowboy Boots
