The #1 Way to Make Heels Comfortable When You're Already Out

There’s nothing worse than dancing the night away in your favourite pair of heels only to have to sit down 10 minutes into your jam because your shoes are too tight. Fortunately, there is a simple way to get through the evening without pain. We tapped shoe expert and MeghanSays designer Meghan Cleary to spill on how to make your leather heels more comfortable when you’re already out and can’t simply switch shoes.

Cleary suggests going to the bathroom and spraying the soles of your shoes—the inside and the outside—with water until they are damp but not sopping. Continue wearing them until they fully dry. You’ll start to feel your shoes soften immediately because the leather will start to mould to the shape of your foot in the drying process. Just note that this really only works on leather shoes, not suede or pony hair.

Keep scrolling to learn more—and go a bit further to shop some of our favourite heels (made of leather, of course) that will now be more comfortable…
