Madonna's Birthday Trip to Cuba Is Insanely Chic

Madonna turned 58 this week, and as you might expect, she went all-out for her birthday. The icon has been Instagramming up a storm in Cuba for the last several days, where she celebrated the big day with her pals and her daughter, Lourdes. Her outfits have been especially amazing: In one photo, Madonna paired a wide-brim sun hat with layers of statement necklaces, oversize sunnies, a frilly white dress, and a cover-up. In another image, she went for sultry all-black look with gold jewelry. All in all, the photos prove that your style only gets better as you age.

Of course, Madonna isn't the only celebrity who's taken a tour of Cuba recently. Chanel's cruise show in the country drew the likes of Gisele Bündchen and Lindsey Wixon, while Emily Ratajkowski also paid a visit to Cuba recently. And who could forget when the Obamas made a historic trip to the country? We officially have another place to add to our bucket lists.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
