I'm a Stylist Based in L.A.—These 10 Nordstrom Items Help Create Chic Looks
As an up-and-coming stylist in Los Angeles, Erin Noël has her finger on the pulse of all the trends happening in Hollywood and beyond. When it comes to dressing her clients, she looks to instill confidence by creating stylish outfits that help showcase their true selves and reflect the story they want to tell at that moment through their looks. To accomplish this, she often reaches for a mix of classic and trendy pieces at a variety of price points while paying close attention to the fit. But the goal is always to have fun in the process.
For fall, her approach is no different. Ahead, you will get insight into what Noël has her eyes on this season from Nordstrom to help create chic fall looks, plus some visual inspiration from her own closet on how to style each piece. Keep scrolling to check out everything from Noël's stylish selection—My favorites from her roundup are the striped sweaters and pretty tops.
1. Striped Sweaters
"Striped sweaters are forever a classic. As we head into fall, it is the perfect way to still wear your summer dress but have something warm on hand when the temps drop. I also love styling my clients in striped sweaters and denim while still wearing a summer sandal, easily blending the balance between summer and fall." — Noël
2. Long Coats
"Coats are the perfect way to express your personal style—I love choosing something out of the box vs. a staple each season. I'm loving pinstripe this year, and it's a subtle way to pattern mix with your current wardrobe." — Noël
3. Statement Dresses
"When you show up boldly, you give other women permission to do the same. So go for the out-of-the-box dress or bold color—There will always be an occasion for an LBD. " — Noël
4. Elevated Strapless Knits
"Transition your cotton tube tops into knit tops, and pair them under a cardigan or blazer. The options are endless, and you can still wear your favorite summer piece into fall with a little bit of texture." — Noël
This also comes in a pretty beige color.
5. Leather Blazers
"Leather blazers are a closet staple. I love the look of a white T-shirt, light-wash denim, and a leather blazer. If you picked up the knit top, add a blazer over it with your favorite pair of denim and kitten heels. Perfect outfit." — Noël
6. Modern White T-Shirts
"Size up in your T-shirts [by] one or two sizes, and pair [them] with trousers or wide-leg jeans. It turns a basic into a look that feels more like a blouse vs. a casual tee. It's an easy way to elevate your look." — Noël
7. Pretty Tops
"I love a pretty top that feels effortless with denim, or skirts. Pleats and ruching offer interesting details that flatter your shape and also add visual interest to your look." — Noël
8. Black Ankle Boots
"A black ankle boot will serve you well with all your fall and winter looks, with dresses, skirts, etc. I like pairing a black ankle boot in an unexpected way, as I did with a frilly dress in this photo." — Noël
9. High-Waisted Jeans
"With the return of the low-rise [waistbands], by the time the weather changes, we will be reaching for our staple high-rise jeans, which look good with everything! This fall, I am reaching for a wide-leg or a classic straight-leg fit." — Noël
10. Fashion-Forward Sunglasses
"Sunglasses are my favorite accessory and I have been wearing my Loewe pair since December. Here are a some fresh picks I am adding to the rotation for fall." — Noël
