I've Lived in the Most Stylish Cities in the U.S., and These Items Feel Cool Now
While there are many fashionable pockets in the U.S., New York and L.A. definitely make the best dressed list. It's pretty much a given considering New York is essentially a fashion designer's mecca and L.A., of course, is home to the glitz and glam of Hollywood. I've lived in both places (currently I reside on the West Coast), and not to toot my own horn, but I think my geographical preferences have given me a keen sense of what trends are on the up and up.
While New York will always feel more sophisticated and trend-forward compared to L.A.'s classic, laid-back style, there's definitely more overlap now than ever before. I've found myself longing to dress up lately, so it makes sense that refined styles like tailored trousers or even sparkly hair clips are on the rise alongside our beloved leisurewear. (Don't worry; joggers aren't going anywhere anytime soon.) On that note, keep scrolling to find my picks for the most fashionable items out there right now.
I recently acquired a pair of square-toe ankle boots much like the above, and they've completely leveled up every outfit.
Currently pining for anything resembling tailored trousers. I love that these are cropped too.
What is it about a wrap coat that makes me feel like I should be walking down the Champs-Élysées with a French man on my arm?
I've been vying for the Gucci rhinestone barrettes, and these will do in the mean time.
Every stylish gal I know is carrying a soft leather bag like this right now.
This with a pair of loose, flowy trousers and slip-on shoes? Too chic.
Jeans prices have gone way up, so the fact that these babies have an amazing straight-leg silhouette and are only $30 should be enough said.
Okay, so this knit midi dress has a cutout in the back and is reversible. I really want to say "business in the front, party in the back," but I won't.
This dress and the way it's styled brings me back to those early 2000s Chloé ads that continue to be the epitome of breezy, '70s cool.
Sorry to all my friends in the snow right now (I'm in L.A.), but I absolutely adore the length of these bike shorts.
Hailey Bieber has a pair like these, and that's good enough for me.
A half-zip in a bold color is sure to spice up your sweater collection.
Wow. Just wow. Everlane really hit the nail on the head with these minimal Mary Janes.
This long-sleeve crew-neck sweater is perfection.
