Here's Everything Our Editors Wore to London Fashion Week This Season
'Twas the night before London Fashion Week, and countless buyers and editors were just recovering from the sub-zero temperatures of New York only to find themselves thrust into a "red weather warning" courtesy of storm Eunice. Day one was certainly a bracing experience, and we're feeling thankful that as we reach the penultimate day of LFW, the weather has started to calm itself. Fortunately for us, we've had the luxury and comfort of a rather fabulous Central London bolthole—a huge thank you goes out to The Londoner Hotel for giving us the chance to get dressed in style, dash to all of the shows as quickly as possible and escape the gales for a shot (or four) of caffeine.
Separate from practical considerations, we Who What Wear editors love the chance to get dressed up. However, this season, we have been discussing how, often, simply wearing the outfits that feel most authentically "you" is always the way to go. It's so easy to overthink outfits when you're wanting to impress when, really, you always look your most radiant when wearing your most-treasured wardrobe heroes. Of course, this means different things for different people, so for me, this manifests in striped tailoring and fringed jackets, whereas for Hannah Almassi, it's all about '70s-inspired dresses and fluffy-collar jackets.
So no, we might not have donned our waterproofs to brave the storm (although, we did see a few North Face jackets around), but we did have a lot of fun playing dress-up and celebrating the surfeit of design talent London has to offer. Ready? Scroll down to see what we wore to London Fashion Week this season.
