Here at Who What Wear, we’re always on the lookout for summer outfit inspiration, and this year, easy, warm weather-friendly looks are top of mind. While hundreds of outfits from fashion’s most influential fill social media feeds, popular denim brand American Eagle is channeling beachside style inspiration with its latest collaboration. AE has launched a vacation-inspired collection in partnership with the hit Prime Video show The Summer I Turned Pretty.

You can expect effortless pieces inspired by the characters of the show and Cousins Beach, the fictional beach town where the TSITP takes place. The collection comes a couple of weeks before the sophomore season of the beachy show begins. Ahead of the launch, we spoke to lead actress Lola Tung about shooting the campaign for the AE x TSITP collection.

"[My co-stars, and I] got to put together outfits from the collection to wear [to shoot the campaign]. I had a lot of fun figuring out what pieces I gravitated toward and what worked with my personal style,” Tung explained. The collection includes pieces like wear-with-everything baby tees, perfectly baggy cargo pants, and a cute floral dress. Tung shared some of her favorite styles from the collab with us: "I got a beautiful long white skirt [for] a Stevie Nicks moment. There’s a lovely ‘Team Belly’ shirt that I’m excited for.”
