Lizzo Used These Under-$20 Target Products to Get Flawless Skin for the Grammys
When celebs prep for the red carpet, it pretty much goes without saying that they have at their disposal some of the most high-end beauty products and luxurious treatments out there. How else are they supposed to look so flawless in front of the camera? So when we discover that the products behind their head-turning complexions are actually affordable, we kind of lose it. Enter Lizzo's Grammys glow.
The pop star, who's nominated in eight categories and is performing at the award show, prepped her skin with the help of four products from Versed. The best part? They each clock in at under $20. If you don't already know, Versed is a line of vegan skincare sold at Target along with other beauty retailers, and Lizzo's makeup artist Alexx Mayo turned to Versed's products "because it is a great quality, clean, and sustainable brand with ingredients that work at an affordable price," he shared.
The Versed products Mayo used on Lizzo
The Cleansing Toner
First up, Mayo used this just-released do-it-all "milk" to hydrate, melt away any leftover makeup, and restore the skin's natural pH balance before putting anything else on. Baby Cheeks is essentially an all-in-one cleansing milk, makeup remover, and hydrating toner.
The Eye Mask
"I love The Fix," Mayo gushed, "it instantly has a cooling sensation, and you can see and feel the difference in only 10 minutes. It’s like a full night's rest in a tube!” After Baby Cheeks, he applied this gel mask, chock-full of provitamin B5, vitamin E, cucumber juice, and caffeine to fake the look of a full night's sleep, letting it work its magic while he moisturized the rest of Lizzo’s face and body.
The Face Moisturizer
As we know with achieving any glowy skin look, moisturizing is crucial to prep the skin before makeup. Mayo noted that he liked this formula because it's rich but never greasy. He used a peanut-size amount on Lizzo’s face, working it down her jawline onto the neck.
The Body Oil
Finally, Lizzo's overall glow has this quick-absorbing dry oil to thank, which Mayo applied everywhere below her neck.
