Fitness Entrepreneur Liv Lo Golding Breaks Down Her Exact Morning Routine
What's the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the morning? A well-rounded morning routine sets the tone for the day and gets you prepped—both mentally and physically—before diving into a packed schedule filled with emails, chores, happy hours, workouts, and more. Our series Morning Person profiles those who have mastered the art of the morning routine.
Tune in every week here and on our Instagram to learn exactly how the pros get it all done before the sun comes up, from their go-to breakfasts to their a.m. workouts.
We’ll admit it: On paper, fitness instructor, entrepreneur, and influencer Liv Lo Golding seems pretty intimidating. She’s the founder of FitSphere, an at-home workout program with her signature weighted balls; a successful TV host; and, oh, she’s married to actor Henry Golding.
While she’s well on her way to becoming a household name in wellness, Golding isn’t working out every single day, and she's also never too hard on herself. Instead, she just listens to her body's needs to feel good in all aspects of her routine. Not being too hard on ourselves, especially in 2020? That's something we can all relate to.
Keep scrolling to see how Golding starts a typical day.
8 A.M.
Once I wake up, I try to drink a tall glass of water, brush my teeth, and do my skincare. I consider this hour in the morning as a "me" time ritual to get centered and ready for the day. My go-to skincare brand for pretty much everything is Allies of Skin.
8:15 A.M.
I make a point not to touch my phone until I am centered and ready for the day. My meditation routine is a process of grounding, invocation, purification, affirmation, five senses of reality, incantation, and protection. Aummmmm…
9 A.M.
I'll schedule to have meetings at 9 a.m. on alternate days so I can either get right to work or get in a workout.
When I have a meeting, I’ll spend some time prepping coffee beforehand. My favorite at the moment is an iced oat milk latte, and I love my Nespresso because I can recycle my used capsules.
On mornings I don't have meetings, I'll work out! FitSphere, a workout with weighted balls, is my go-to routine. I’ll either do a 30-min HIIT class or a self-guided yoga practice with weights.
12 P.M.
Lunchtime! I intermittently fast daily for around 14 hours until breakfast. My current favorite is soft-boiled eggs and mashed avocado on toast with olive oil, lemon, pepper, salt, and some chili flakes because I love everything spicy.
