Laura Lee started her YouTube channel almost a decade ago, and since then, she has amassed more than 4.6 million subscribers. She's also launched her own makeup line and collaborated with brands like SHEGLAM on limited-edition collections. Impressive? Yes, but the Los Angeles–based makeup artist says she was born loving all things beauty, even before she learned about the importance of skincare. "My skin was good to me. I had (and still have) a lot of freckles and clear skin, but I wish I wore more sunscreen. My family was not educated on the importance of sun protection, and I loved being in the sun," says Lee.
When she was younger, Lee loved full-coverage makeup and would often wear as much as she could. "I wasn't trying to cover anything up. I just felt makeup was like art. I had so much fun with it. Now, I have a 'less is more' approach and enjoy a more natural look," she says of her beauty routine. Her natural makeup look is actually 20 steps long, but she insists that's fewer steps than it used to be. Curious to see some of her favorite products? Keep scrolling for her 22 top picks.
This duo comes with a blush and highlighter. "They're so pigmented and give a beautiful pink flush to the cheeks," says Lee.
"Ten highly pigmented, creamy shades allow you to create your most dreamy looks," Lee says. "Wear each shade alone, or layer and blend for magical looks that go from day to night."
Lee says this is the best (and easiest) way to add faux freckles. So if you've been wanting to jump on the trend, now is your chance.
Lee says this hair perfume "makes your hair smell like fresh honey!"
According to Lee, if you're in the market for a great brown-nude lip liner, this is it.
This is a one-step foundation that gives your skin a smooth, ultra-matte finish and a velvety texture that still lets it breathe. Lee says it's also a great setting powder.
Lee swears by these when she has a blemish pop up. They help minimize redness and size in a short amount of time.
If you have oily skin and find yourself needing to blot throughout the day, according to Lee, these are the best touch-up and blotting sponges ever.
This hair spray provides weightless, instant shine to any hairstyle. It also helps control frizz and flyaways, which is always a plus. "It makes my hair look super glossy and healthy," says Lee.
"Stop using makeup wipes and switch to the Makeup Eraser!" Lee says. "I promise it makes taking off makeup so much easier."
"If you have sensitive skin, this is a great makeup remover for you," says Lee. It gently cleanses and removes makeup while keeping skin hydrated.
"When I'm waiting to get my hair colored, I love this product to touch up my roots in between dyes," Lee says.
SPF is essential rain or shine, and Lee says this is a great one that works well under makeup.
According to Lee, "This blow-dryer makes drying your hair quicker and has amazing attachments to create multiple hairstyles."
On days when Lee doesn't need to blow-dry her hair, she loves turning to this. "I love how sleek and shiny my hair looks when I use my flat iron," she says.
"This is the most delicious fragrance. It's my favorite sandalwood scent."
With winter here, it's important to keep your skin extra hydrated. Lee says this thick barrier recovery cream is perfect for anyone with really dry hands and feet.
"This is a classic. It's great for prepping and setting makeup," explains Lee. It's infused with pearlescent particles, so it truly does give your skin a lovely glow.
This is such a solid concealer. It doesn't settle into lines, and the formula is infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, C, and E, so over time, your skin will look plumper and more hydrated. "It's the best full-coverage concealer, and it's super lightweight," says Lee.
"If you like a bushy brow, you'll love the staying power this product has," says Lee. I couldn't agree more—this will give you the ultimate laminated-brow look.
This is a refreshing, hydrating, translucent light-pink lip treatment with a soft rose scent, and it's one of Lee's favorites. "It's the best lip balm ever. It's super hydrating and leaves a glossy shine."
