Kohl’s Taps Thakoon for Its Next Designer Collab
If you weren’t able to scoop up the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection yesterday (it came and went, like whoa), don’t worry. There’s another designer collab just around the corner to get excited about: Kohl’s just announced a partnership with Thakoon Panichgul as the next addition to its DesigNation series (you may remember past installments with designers like Peter Som and Derek Lam, among others).
While we don’t have sneak-peek images of what the collection will look like yet, we do know that it’ll be inspired by Thakoon's recent trip to London, and that it'll be filled with Thakoon-signatures like knit tops, cool sweaters, and easy dresses. When asked why he chose a partnership with Kohl's, Thakoon told WWD, "Kohl's has established a tradition of working with brands to create accessible fashion to women—the title they have given the DesigNation initiative is completely apropos. The opportunity to contribute to this unique platform, and tie it to London was too good to pass up, and so much fun." Only issue with this exciting news? We’ll have to wait until fall to indulge in the line. But, hey, gives us something to look forward to, right?
