Prediction: This Comfy Boot Trend Is About to Be Very Major
I already have my eye on plenty of fall boot trends, including everything from sleek knee-high boots to platform styles to ski-inspired Moon Boots. Each of them had a heavy presence on the F/W 21 runways, and I expect to see the trends take off in the coming months. Another trend that has made an impression on me recently, though, is kitten-heel boots. While they didn't dominate the runways like some of the other styles bubbling up for fall, retailers are investing heavily in the comfy style, and that makes me think they'll be an important silhouette to wear in the coming season.
If I think about it, they just make sense to wear right now. Comfortable silhouettes have dominated the last couple of years, but as people are starting to get dressed up again, a slight heel feels just right. I know I'm still easing my way back into heels. While stilettos feel a little too ambitious, kitten heels are exactly what I want to slip into. The boot versions are sleek, polished, and cool, and I personally can't wait to add them to my outfits this fall.
Ankle Boots
If you're looking for a fresh update to your basic ankle boots, a kitten heel is the detail to look for. Style them with anything from sheer tights and miniskirts to denim.

Knee-High Boots
Knee-high boots get a makeover each season. Right now, I can't stop thinking about the cool kitten-heel versions that are popping up everywhere. Style the formfitting silhouettes with minidresses and layer the looser versions under a pair of trousers.

Over-the-Knee Boots
One of the most directional takes on kitten-heel boots? Over-the-knee styles. Khaite really put these on the map for me with its second-skin shape that makes them the perfect shoes to style underneath knit dresses.
