It's the Summer of Barbie, and This New Hair Accessory Collab Is Just the Start
By now, I'm sure everyone is aware a new Barbie movie is coming out this summer. With a cast that includes Margot Robbie as the titular character, Ryan Gosling as Ken, and Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, and Dua Lipa in supporting roles, it's obviously going to be incredible. And I'm obviously going to see it. After all, I was obsessed with Barbie as a kid and think fondly of my Barbie Dream House.
You can imagine my delight, then, when I heard there was a new Barbie hair accessory collab launching. It's with Kitsch, which just so happens to be one of my favorite affordable hair brands. The seven-piece collection includes hair clips, satin pillowcases, and more. Each item is bright, fun, and nostalgic—just like Barbie. Oh, and did I mention each item is $22 or under? The only downside is the entire collection is limited-edition, and if this year's Barbiecore aesthetic has taught me anything, it's that these hair accessories will sell out fast. Keep scrolling to see them all!
Heatless curls are TikTok's favorite way to style hair without damage. This set includes a flexible curling rod and two scrunchies to keep it in place. Since each piece is made from 100% satin, it won't roughen your hair or cause breakage.
If you're not already using a satin or silk pillowcase, consider this your sign to start. They help smooth hair and reduce breakage because they minimize friction. They can also help prevent skin creases and are gentle on eyelashes and eyebrows. The best part? They stay cool longer than cotton pillowcases.
You can also get the satin pillowcase in the Malibu Barbie print. I know, how are you supposed to choose?
This clip set is so nostalgic. The bright colors and exaggerated shapes instantly transport me back to playing with my Barbie Dream House in 2002.
This might be my favorite hair accessory of the group. This oversize hair clip has a pearlescent finish and bright pink rhinestones that spell out Barbie. There's no way I'm not wearing this when I see the movie on July 21.
These hair ties are just as fun as they are functional. They come in a pack of 12, so you have extras if, like me, you lose a hair elastic every time you leave the house. Plus, they're soft and stretchy, so you don't have to worry about them snapping, creasing, or bending your hair.
Is there anything more nostalgic or closely associated with Barbie than big, bright scrunchies? Both the checkered scrunchie and the rhinestone scrunchie are made from a silky, frictionless material that won't cause hair breakage or damage.
If you just can't choose between the accessories in this collab, don't worry. You can get them all in one go with this collector's bundle.
