The most highly anticipated fashion magazine cover of the year is undoubtedly American Vogue’s September issue. Heck, there was even a wildly successful documentary devoted to the subject. This year, as many have speculated, the coveted cover star is none other than It girl Kendall Jenner.
This marks Jenner’s first official cover for American Vogue, although the publication did devote a special issue to the model back in March. The breathtaking cover, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, features a braless Jenner wearing an ornate Renessaince-inspired Gucci jacket, while the showstopping spread shows Jenner wearing the best fall trends from the likes of Proenza Schouler, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Vetements, and Valentino, to name a few.
Jenner’s candid interview gives a glimpse into what it’s like to be the most famous model in the world right now (Vogue refers to her as “the breakout model of her generation”) and includes quotes from Cindy Crawford, among others. Of Jenner, Crawford said,
