Katie Holmes Wore Summer's Most Relatable White-Tee Outfit

Name an outfit combo more classic than a white tee and jeans. I'll wait. Katie Holmes, for one, knows the power of the ultimate throw-on-and-go outfit. Photographed in New York City, Holmes dressed up the wardrobe staples with easy accents that made it a tad more interesting: a colorful scarf, practical crossbody bag, and timeless black flats. And yes, safety in the form of a responsible face mask is chic too. (Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez are also fellow well-dressed rule-followers.)

Of course, Who What Wear readers know that we've been fans of Katie Holmes's style for a while now. Who could forget her instantly viral cashmere-bra moment last year? "It looked way more glamorous than it was," Holmes told InStyle about the infamous photo. What I love most about her style is how relatable it is, and this jeans-and-tee look is the perfect example. Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
