Kate Middleton Had a Serious Princess Moment Last Night
We love the fact that, over the last few years, the royals have had a serious rebranding, with Kate, Wills, Meghan and Harry modernising the age-old institution. However, we also can't deny that we're suckers for an old-school princess moment, and thankfully Kate Middleton has delivered plenty of them.
Last night was one such instance: In the historic surroundings of the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Duchess stepped out in a floor-skimming Gucci gown, which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, ombré-effect skirt and velvet belt. To complete the Cinderella moment, Kate accessorised with a Prada clutch and Oscar de la Renta heels.
On Kate: Gucci gown, Prada clutch and Oscar de la Renta heels.
If this look sets your heart racing, then it's your lucky day, because we've rounded up our six favourite Kate Middleton princess moments for your enjoyment. Scroll down to see ball gowns and tiaras aplenty.

Style Notes: Kate channelled bridal chic at this year's BAFTAs in a flowing white gown and silver glittery heels by Jimmy Choo.

Style Notes: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi was the brand of choice for Kate's Canadian visit. The vibrant hue and asymmetric cut make it a fashion-editor fave.
Style Notes: This is a classic Middleton princess moment. Jenny Packham has been Kate's go-to for much of her time as a royal, and this beaded look is so flattering on her athletic frame.
Style Notes: We told you. Kate loved this Jenny Packham gown so much that she's worn it out twice. We can't get enough of the nipped-in waist and teal colourway.
Style Notes: With a sweeping fringe and long sheer sleeves, it was all '70s vibes at the Bond Spectre premier.
Style Notes: Kate loves a cape, but this is no ordinary cape. Flowing, ivory and embellished with silver embroidery, this is a dress fit for a princess.
Style Notes: Another Jenny Packham number, but this time in soft lilac. The contrast between the floaty fabric and wide belt is perfection.
Style Notes: If this isn't a princess moment, then we don't know what is. Only Kate could pull off a dress with that much ruching.
Style Notes: We're spotting a theme here: Clearly powder blue is the duchess's gown colour of choice.
Style Notes: Last, but certainly not least, is that Alexander McQueen bridal gown. With its full skirt and lace sleeves, it made a nation instantly fall in love with the new princess.
