It might just be me, but there is something so comforting about John Lewis. It always reminds me of back-to-school shopping trips with my mum, the smell of new stationery and the comfort of soft furnishings. However, because of its nostalgic associations, it's only fairly recently that I've discovered that it's a total gold mine for certain wardrobe staples, namely lingerie.
From John Lewis & Partners' clean-lined, in-house essentials and lace-trimmed luxuries from Bluebella to sporty shapes from Calvin Klein and chic shapewear from Chantelle, I'd never realised how many fab brands it stocked, making lingerie shopping super easy with so many labels all in the same place. Plus, now really is the best time of year to do a sort-out of your underwear drawer—throwing out elastic-worn bras or holey underwear (yes, we all have them)—in order to add in well-chosen new additions to your collection. You might even catch the last of the Christmas sales if you hurry.
