Jo Malone Perfumes Are Legendary, and This One Always Earns Me Compliments
Is there anything better than treating yourself to that luxury perfume you've had your eye on for months? For me, there's something so special about unboxing a new scent, as I find fragrance so transformative. Whether I'm having a bad day or need a little boost of confidence, perfume can totally turn my mood around. From Diptyque to Le Labo and Dior, I've tried my fair share of luxury brands over the years, and as a beauty editor, I'm lucky enough to get my hands on lots of new launches as well. However, there's one brand in particular that has strangers stopping me on the street to ask me what perfume I'm wearing, and that brand is none other than Jo Malone.
This classic British perfumery creates some of the most beautiful scents on the market, drawing upon a range of notes that work harmoniously with each other to make you feel uplifted and empowered. Although I have quite a large collection of fragrances from the brand that I rely on for different occasions, there's one I come back to time and time again. In fact, it's my most complimented perfume to date.
If you're yet to smell this English Pear & Freesia, not to worry, as I've taken it upon myself to write an in-depth review so that everyone can experience just how good it is. So, whether you're looking for a new perfume for yourself or a Christmas gift for someone else, keep on scrolling to find out why Jo Malone's English Pear & Freesia is the perfect investment.
What Does Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Smell Like?
First things first, what does this perfume actually smell like? Well, one spritz of this scent will have you feeling as if you've taken a big bite of the freshest, sweetest, juiciest pear whilst sitting outside on a hot summer's day. The ripe, fruity note is balanced by delicate freesia and deep patchouli, which gives it a sophisticated edge compared to other sweet scents that I've tried. It's definitely more of a daytime scent thanks to its bright, refreshing nature, and a lot of people opt for it in the spring and summer months. That being said, I also love wearing this on those dark, cold winter days, as it never fails to put a spring in my step. Something I really love about this fragrance is its staying power. Often these lighter, more elegant scents can fade on the skin, but this lingers all day long, which is one of the reasons that it earns me so many compliments.
Another reason I'm a huge fan of this perfume is because it comes in Jo Malone's signature packaging, and in my opinion, there really is nothing chicer—I always have the bottle on display. You can choose from three different sizes, and I keep the 100ml bottle on my dressing table and have the 30ml size in my handbag for when I'm on the go.
Who Wears Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia?
Not only is this perfume loved by beauty editors, but celebrities too. Sofia Richie Grainge has expressed her love for the fragrance on Instagram, saying, "I love this scent, it's a great everyday scent because it's light, it's not intense, it's not overpowering."
Richie Grainge is actually a Jo Malone partner, and if it's good enough for her, then it's definitely good enough for me.
