The Contents of This New York Girl's Beauty Bag Cost £321—Here's What's Inside
If you’ve ever wanted to know what’s really inside the makeup bags of the most stylish women in the industry, you’re in luck. We’ve created a new column, Show Me the (Makeup) Money, to uncover the beauty products our fashion friends genuinely keep in their daily rotation—and how much their stash actually costs. I’ll be delving inside their bags on your behalf and totting up every item in there, from the most expensive to the cheapest. Not only will you be left with an incredible shopping list, but also a realistic price tag to boot. Is there someone whose makeup bag you’re dying to see inside? Slide into my Instagram DMs with your requests, and I’ll see what I can do. This month, we’re delving inside the everyday makeup bag of New York fashion girl Jessica Wang.
She has over 700,000 followers on Instagram and a over a million via her website, NotJessFashion, so clearly people are seriously into what Jessica Wang has to say about fashion and beauty. The influencer resides in New York City, and has worked with the likes of Make Up For Ever, Dior, Burberry and YSL on an array of creative projects. For me, though, I was most intrigued as to what this cool mum of two considered to be her everyday beauty essentials.
Keep scrolling to discover Jessica's everyday beauty favourites (totalling £321) for yourself.
"I love Dr. Jart Ceramidin cream because it's lightweight and fully hydrates my skin without irritating or causing breakouts. I use this year-round and love how well it sits under makeup."

"I've also been loving Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation for its skin-like finish. It gets better with wear throughout the day and is buildable for higher coverage."
"Make Up For Ever HD Concealer is the best high-coverage concealer I've ever used. It's amazing for covering blemishes and hiding dark under-eye circles. I love how it doesn't crease or sink into fine lines."
"The Tom Ford Lumiere Lip Colour is my favourite lip product when I need something moisturising. It enhances my natural lip colour but also works as a topper without smearing the underlying lipstick when my lips feel dry."

"I'm really into matte lipsticks, and I swear by MAC's Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour. It's super long-lasting, and wears evenly and smoothly while making my lips look full and plump."
"Make Up For Ever Artist Colour Pencil is an all-in-one product for lips, eyebrows, eyeliner, blush or contouring. The soft texture makes it easy to blend out over the eyelids and it glides beautifully over the lips. This one is my go-to when I'm pressed for time."
"When I need to bring some life back into my face, I love the Givenchy Prisme Blush Highlight & Structure Powder Duo. The texture is so creamy and looks super natural. You can use the colours on the left as a blush, the ones on the right as a highlighter or mix them together for a beautiful glow. "
"I tend to get shiny throughout the day, so I always keep the Hourglass Veil Setting Powder in my makeup bag. It's so silky smooth, lightweight and really works to blur the skin for a flawless finish."

"I also keep a stash of the Nars x Erdem Mattifying Blotting Papers on hand to reduce shine."
"For my hair, the Oribe Mistify Restyling Spray does wonders. It's a great heat protectant but also does a great job holding up second-day hair. I love how full and bouncy my hair looks after spraying this in."
"I can't live without my face masks. Patchology's Smartmud Mask detoxifies the skin and tightens pores. It never strips the skin of moisture, and it works effectively when my skin feels congested from travelling. The best part is that it comes in sheet form, making it travel-friendly."
Next up, I just tried the £300 hair dryer that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley loves.
