Jessica Alba Pulls Off a Completely Sheer Skirt in Paris
Jessica Alba is no newcomer to the fashion week scene. For proof, just check how cute she was sitting front row at Marc Jacobs 15 years ago. Accordingly, we weren’t surprised when the actress and entrepreneur arrived at Valentino’s Paris show flawlessly executing a rather tricky trend. There are a few ways to tackle a sheer skirt, but thanks to Alba, our new favorite styling trick is to pair a crisp shirtdress underneath. Coverage and a cute peekaboo effect in one fell swoop? Color us impressed. We also love how the more casual striped oxford shirt contrasted against the ultra-feminine lace and tulle midi skirt.
Once Alba made her way inside, she was treated to an absolutely stunning Valentino show. This season marks the first that Pierpaolo Piccioli helmed the house by himself, and the fashion world has unanimously given the collection a vigorous nod of approval. Highlights include teeny-tiny bags wore worn crossbody and a generous use of the color pink.
See Alba’s look for the show below, and go a bit further to check out some of the key Valentino looks.
On Jessica Alba: Valentino top, skirt, Rockstud Medium Matelasse Leather Shoulder Bag ($2795), and shoes; Yossi Harari Lilah Pave Cognac Band ($1650) and Lilah Black Diamond Pave Eternity Band ($2925); Eva Fehren studs.
Jessica Alba chatted with Eva Chen as they headed to the show.
