I Thought This Print Was Done for Good—Then J.Lo Wore It From Head to Toe

Snakeskin and fashion have gone hand in hand for a while now, with the print rising back to popularity in 2018 following a major spike in all animal prints. But as with most trends, the once-ubiquitous pattern has since started to ebb. Or at least, I thought it had until Jennifer Lopez appeared on Today wearing the eye-catching print from head to toe. After all, if anyone can turn a trend around, it's J.Lo.

For her appearance on the talk show, Lopez wore a look from Roberto Cavalli's Pre-Fall 22 collection, which included a thin turtleneck with thumb holes, a knee-length body-con dress, and tights—all of which were covered with the same snakeskin print. For further effect, she added a denim-and-snakeskin trench coat on top and point-toe snakeskin pumps from Le Silla.

Just as she always does, J.Lo looked beyond perfect, which is why I'm now questioning everything I previously thought about snakeskin's waning popularity. Who knows? Now that J.Lo's given the print her stamp of approval in 2022, the print could very well be on its way to top-dog status once again. Get ahead of its rise by shopping the trend below.
