J.Lo and Katie Holmes Just Wore Anti-Skinny Jeans in Such Different Ways
Whoever said jeans weren’t comfortable clearly never got their hands on a well-worn pair of baggy jeans. A welcome respite after years of styling skinny and straight jeans with everything we own, there’s now nothing we’d rather reach for on the daily. And we’re not alone in feeling this way; celebrities have been swapping their skinnies for loose-fitting jeans for months now, experimenting with degrees of bagginess and different cuts whilst at it.
Whilst some are opting for floor-sweeping styles, others are seeking our their baggy denim in a more versatile crop. Two celebrities who have made the case for the baggy-jean style in the past week are Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez.
Keeping it casual, Holmes wore a pair of ankle-grazing barrel-leg jeans on a walk in New York this week. Styling her jeans with royal blue loafers, the actress paired her look with a short-sleeved button-down and leather tote bag.
Taking to the streets of Paris, Jennifer Lopez styled her baggy jeans low-slung and secured with a brown leather belt. Unlike Katie, J.Lo's jeans swept the floor, completely covering her shoes. Lopez styled her baggy jeans with a beige jumper, sweeping an oversized scarf around her shoulders.
Wether you take your styling cues from Holmes or J.Lo, baggy jeans are the anti-skinny jeans trend we're banking on from this autumn and beyond.
