J.Lo Wore a Bondage-Inspired Dress With a Hip-High Slit for Her 50th B-day Party

Happy birthday, Jennifer Lopez! Believe it or not, the perennially stylish icon turned 50 years old yesterday. And yes, she looks as ageless as ever. To honor the milestone occasion, her fiancé Alex Rodriguez posted the sweetest birthday video, which included cute family moments with their melded family of four kids. But as it turns out, that was just the beginning of the celebrations.

Last night, J.Lo threw an over-the-top 50th birthday party in Miami. Complete with a five-foot cake, a performance by Ashanti, and more, it looked like the ultimate bash. However, one look at the photos and it was clear that the real highlight of the night was her jaw-dropping Versace F/W 19 dress. Complete with a slew of bondage-inspired buckles and a hip-high slit, the dress was nothing short of stunning. Scroll down to get an inside glimpse at Jennifer Lopez's 50th birthday party and her memorable Versace dress.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
