Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Boot Trend Every NYC Girl Will Wear This Winter

If it seems like Jennifer Lawrence is dressing a lot like an NYC girl these days, it's because she is one. Lawrence and her art dealer husband, Cooke Maroney, live full-time in the city, and her wardrobe has really been reflecting that lately. Neutral tones (like her favorite Totême camel coat), cozy layers, comfortable shoes, and loose-fitting silhouettes are the norm for her these days, as they are for many stylish NYC dwellers. This week, while out running errands, she paired the aforementioned coat with a sweater and plaid trousers, plus the boots every NYC girl will wear in a matter of days.
As you probably know, winters in NYC can be a beast. There are days when you can't even get away with wearing sneakers. And if you want to actually wear your boots again, they need to have a tread sole if you plan on navigating slushy sidewalks, which NYC girls know well. Even better, lug-sole boots are a major shoe trend this season. So do as Lawrence does this winter if you live in a snowy climate (or not!) and pair your casual outfits with a chic pair of chunky-sole boots (hers are from The Row and are gaining a celebrity following).
