Jeans Dominate My Capsule Wardrobe—9 Outfits I'm Relying on Right Now
Humaa Hussain
It's official: all I want to wear is jeans right now. It's cold outside (and inside, too!)—as such, my daily outfit rotation is centred on my favourite, most-reliable denim. So much so, I'm worried I'm starting to get a little bored of them—which is why I decided to track down some easy but chic jeans outfits to try. I thought you might be interested in seeing them, too, so here we are.
But let's not make life too difficult for ourselves—instead of overhauling all your fashion habits, start by tweaking your existing go-to looks. Scanning Instagram this week, I've noticed that pretty much every influencer I follow is just as reliant on denim as I am. It makes sense: no other trouser is quite as versatile, seasonless and suited to everyday wear. And, just as I'm keen to do, they've been trying their hand at different ways to style them.
So, let's start there. Instead of reaching for your tired T-shirts and worn-out ankle boots after buttoning up your favourite jeans, try out some of the fresh jeans outfit combinations below.
Stylish Jeans Outfits to Try in 2025:
1. Red Knitwear + Black Jeans + Trainers
Style Notes: In case you missed it, red is a colour trend that is already big news for 2025. If you're worried about how to make a bold hue look chic, take cues from Anouk and pair it with simple staples like black denim and a classic coat.

2. Cosy Jumper + Blue Jeans + Ballet Flats
Style Notes: This look may be simple, but that doesn't mean it isn't uber stylish. A cosy navy knit with blue jeans always looks good, and we love how Marianne has paired the duo with classic ballet flats and a neckerchief.

3. Double Denim + Ballet Flats
Style Notes: This is your sign to jump on the Canadian tuxedo bandwagon. Yes, it's back, and it works wonderfully with another major trend: ballet flats.

4. Leather Blazer + High-Waist Jeans + Heeled Boots
Style Notes: If you needed further proof that leather blazers are the epitome of cool, this outfit by Natasha Ndlovu will surely sway you.
Shop the Look:
Light-wash denim against black leather will make your look more authentically '90s.
5. Shearling Jacket + Straight-Leg Jeans
Style Notes: If you're heading on a night out or just don't want to wear a long wool coat, a shorter shearling jacket will be your best friend. And it just so happens that this trending layer looks great with black jeans.
Shop the Look:
I love how cosy this jacket is. Style it simply, or jazz it up with bright accessories.
Black denim can effortlessly be taken from day to night.
6. Tweed Jacket + Wide-Leg Jeans + Flat Shoes
Style Notes: Tweed jackets never go out of style, and fashion people love nothing more than to give them a downtime spin with some denim. Wide-leg styles are especially good at giving the polished piece some cool styling clout. Then, just finish with the shoe everyone seems to be wearing with jeans right now—the black ballet flat.
Shop the Look:
Gold jewellery really give this outfit an 'old money' aesthetic.
7. Black Jeans + Black Coat + Chunky Boots
Style Notes: Monikh proves that a dark, tonal look will serve you well during the cold months. This combo is the perfect balance between casual and polished, thanks to the addition of a smart black coat and gorgeous shoulder bag.
Shop the Look:
I just know you'll love and wear this classic black coat for years to come.
8. Mid Wash Jeans + Short Trench Coat + Birkenstocks
Style Notes: Style mid-wash jeans with a cropped trench coat in neutral tones for a modern twist on a classic. Complete the look with comfy Birkenstocks and a minimalist crossbody or tote for effortless chic.
Shop the Look:
Wear with ribbed socks while the weather is still on the colder side.
9. Mid-Rise Jeans + Fancy Shirt + Mules
Style Notes: Pair mid-rise jeans with a statement top like a silky blouse or puff-sleeve shirt. Tuck it in for polish or leave it loose for a relaxed vibe. Add sleek or textured mules to elevate the look, and finish with gold jewellery or a structured bag for sophistication.

When you're not brave enough for low-rise and high-rise jeans don't tickle your fancy.
