This Jackie Kennedy Outfit From 1986 Has a Hidden Meghan Markle Connection

What's old is new again. Just as Princess Diana's '80s honeymoon style is as relevant as ever, Jackie Kennedy's outfits from the same era would look right at home in 2018. Need proof? Attending her daughter Caroline's wedding in 1986, Kennedy wore a beautiful mint green dress, which is the same hue Meghan Markle's mom Doria Ragland chose for her own daughter's now-iconic royal wedding. Should mint green become the official mother-of-the-bride color? I definitely wouldn't complain.

Plenty of brands have also been jumping on the mint green bandwagon. Zara, of course, perfected the affordable interpretation with a mint blazer I can't wait to wear with a crisp white T-shirt. Kalita and Wandler are two up-and-coming brands that also did stunning versions of the color, so you might want to get shopping. Scroll down to see both of the beautiful mother-of-the-bride looks and to shop my mint green picks.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
