3 French Girl–Approved Looks to Wear on Your Next Weekend Getaway
Sponsor Content Created With Longchamp
There are few things I get more excited about than a vacation. Whether I'm driving up the coast for a quick glamping excursion (I highly recommend adding that to your bucket list), going away for a weeklong beach vacation where I'll do little but swim and lounge, or jetting abroad for a sightseeing exploration, I can guarantee I'll be in a giddy mood the moment the trip is booked. I love the planning process nearly as much as the getaway itself, including sorting out my itinerary and, more importantly, styling out all of my outfits down to the accessories.
The one item that is undoubtedly coming with me on all my spring and summer trips is Longchamp's Box-Trot handbag. It's the perfect everyday crossbody with a boxy silhouette and slightly sporty feel offered in an array of neutral and bright colors and three compact sizes (all of which are ideal for traveling, by the way). Below, see my go-to ways to style the bag this season no matter the destination, along with more of my favorite vacation apparel and accessories from the iconic French brand. And in case you needed it, consider this your friendly reminder that adults can go on spring break, too.
I really don't like to play favorites, but if I had to choose one Box-Trot bag, I'd opt for the small size. It's just big enough to fit my phone, wallet, sunglasses, and a few mini beauty products (I rarely leave the house without a lip balm and travel-sized sunscreen this time of year), which makes it the perfect travel companion.
It's styled here with the dreamiest knit dress set (every vacation wardrobe needs one!), which includes three separate pieces: a midi dress, bra top, and cardigan. I love the contrast between the pale-pink bag and the bright-lemon dress (and coordinating yellow clogs). I can't think of a cooler way to do pastels for spring.
I'm a sucker for tailored separates, so this watercolor-printed suit immediately caught my attention. It's a bit dressy on its own, so pairing it with a knit bra and canvas accessories adds a more casual touch that reads less "workwear" and more "out of office."
Speaking of canvas accessories, this particular Box-Trot bag looks chic with every single outfit I can imagine wearing this season thanks to its neutral color palette. However, the cognac-leather trim adds an elevated touch that earns this bag statement-piece status.
Red and pink pairings are trending right now, and I'm leaning in. In this look, the candy-colored mini bag and matching belt pop against the red swimsuit in a way that feels really fun for spring. Not going somewhere with a pool or ocean? Don't stress—this one-piece doubles as a bodysuit, so it looks just as chic worn with these linen-blend shorts as it does solo.
The teeny, tiny monochromatic Box-Trot stands out on its own, but styling it with color-blocked sporty sandals and other pink accessories is what's really giving this 'fit that "I'm on vacation" vibe.
