I Was Heavily Influenced to Buy These Under $150 Pieces—So Sue Me
As much as we hate to admit it, we're all influenced by what we see on Instagram. Whether it's the chic vacation spot someone just visited that's now on your list, a new neighborhood restaurant your friend just posted that is now on your radar, or the dreamy handbag your favorite fashion person just got, we're all subconsciously influenced a bit by what's being surfaced to us every day. Blame the algorithm, but the power of Instagram is undeniable.
I myself am not immune to its powers. I find myself saving outfits I want to re-create constantly, and I'll admit that occasionally I even save posts featuring items I want to come back to and purchase later. Thankfully for my bank account, the items I've been saving for the latter category recently have actually been relatively affordable. From the $20 Zara bodysuit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley can't stop photographing to the coolest utility dress ever created, I'm here to highlight the under-$150 pieces I've been influenced to buy. Below you'll find the item to shop, plus the post that influenced me, so be warned that they may have the same effect on you.
Confession: The moment I see Rosie HW wearing anything remotely affordable, I take note. So when she Instagrammed herself wearing this Zara bodysuit in multiple colors repeatedly, I couldn't resist. It's the perfect piece to layer underneath skirts, jeans, or trousers.
This fuzzy cardigan can act as both a top and a jacket, plus it looks insanely comfortable.
The perfect fall sweater does exist—and it comes in my all-time favorite autumn hue of camel. This sweater is the ideal combination of cozy and sexy.
I know warm vacations seem far away, but this halter top just makes me want to book one immediately. It looks ultra-luxe paired with high-waisted trousers à la Camila in the above photo.
I couldn't resist this cutout crop top to pair with high-waisted bottoms. The one-shoulder detail is very of the moment, and the price tag is gentle on the wallet.
I did a double-take when I saw this iridescent beauty in my feed, and let me tell you, since receiving it I've gotten more compliments on it than I cant count.
I just love the way this turtleneck looks under jackets, and since I own about seven different denim jackets like the one pictured above, I figured I'd put it to good use.
Utility pieces are a major fall 2019 trend, and this dress takes the cake. It's fitted enough to feel feminine but structured enough to still feel cool.
This scoop neckline is just so flattering, and it's the perfect piece to show off your favorite necklaces.
Okay so these are just over $150, but they're too good not to include. They're perfectly pleated without too much volume, and the color goes with everything.
I usually shy away from bold color, but there's something about this textured cardigan that draws me in. I feel like it's the perfect partner for vintage denim.
I probably don't even need to explain this one, but tweed skirt suits have been trending hard this season, and this is the best affordable option I've seen.
Bucket hats are still having their moment, and I love the color of this one.
I realize we're in the middle of fall, but these shorts made me want to book a midwinter vacation, so I'm really just planning ahead.
There's nothing cooler than a leather culotte. They feel hard to pull off, but if you treat them like a leather skirt you'll actually find countless outfit ideas to try them out with.
It doesn't get cozier than this fleece jacket—and it happens to come in seven colors.
