If I Had to Recommend One Autumn Trend, It Would Be This One
Previously a style statement reserved for the fashion elite, the boilersuit has taken a full 180 degree turn over the last 12 months and is now widely regarded as an accessible wardrobe staple. For many people, the all-in-one can feel like an intimidating item of clothing to begin with, but once you've got over the initial trepidation, most find that it's flattering and easy-to-style trend that looks cool on everyone, whether you're 16 or 60.
I'm the proud owner of seven boilersuits, which might seem excessive, but I can honestly say that they're the hardest-working pieces in my wardrobe. I have one for every occasion: a short-sleeved pink Kitri style for all my summer office needs, a boxy white Zara boilersuit, which looks great over a roll-neck for winter weekend-wear, and a waist-tie denim iteration from Free People for when I'm craving a little '70s style.
The beauty of the boilersuit is that it doesn't take much to make it look good—only the subtlest of accessories is needed, whether it's a knotted scarf, a chunky necklace or pair of glam strappy sandals. I can safely say that this is the easiest way to look trend-savvy this autumn, plus you can happily create a winning boilersuit outfit without breaking the bank. Win-win. Scroll down to see how the fashion crowd are wearing theirs now.
Style Notes: The majority of boilersuits around this autumn come in neutral colourways, such as beige and khaki, however you can give your look a lift via a pop of orange like Vens Wife Style's did.

Style Notes: While the weather is still balmy, try giving a white boilersuit a dad-chic twist with a pair of Teva Velcro sandals. A knotted scarf will also add some interest to this simple pairing.

Style Notes: A denim all-in-one is a great entry point for boilersuit novices. Dress yours down for the weekend by styling with white sneakers and layering over a white tank top.
