A Date Night–Ready Way to Wear a Blazer

When it comes to date-night style, we usually think of skirts, dresses, and statement tops. However, this blogger's outfit has now put blazers top of mind for our editors. For a polished-meets-casual look, we are taking a page from Nina of the blog Hello Shopping's stylebook and trying the classic piece on our next night out.

A sleek blazer is key for achieving the look, and a black version is by far the best (and easiest) option. Throw your top pick over a pair of boyfriend-style jeans in a dark wash and make sure to cuff the hems. For shoes, a pair of bold slingback pumps is essential—a python texture is a major plus if you can swing it. A bold printed scarf can be incorporated for added flair by tucking it into your blazer pocket or tying it around your neck or wrist.
