I don't know about you, but every time I wear a beret, I feel like I look like I'm trying way too hard. So I reached out to three of my favorite Parisians to find out how they manage to make a beret look so effortlessly chic. Luckily, Adeline Rapon, Kenza Sadoun el Glaoui, and Sabina Socol were game to let us in on their beret-styling secrets so that we too can enjoy the luxuries of the iconic topper.

"The beret mostly helps make my simple way of dressing more interesting, like for a party or somewhere where I'm supposed to be a little more dressed up! I think I can wear a beret with quite anything, since there's so many different styles and colors, like sparkly, or leather, red, blue, and more!"
"Wearing the beret doesn't mean wearing a total Parisian or French look. I like to wear the beret as I would wear a cap—in a casual way or in a very minimalistic way. It is the perfect retro touch to an outfit, which is why I like to wear it with a modern look."
"Wearing a beret is extremely cliché—especially if you're French. But to me, wearing a beret is a question of timing. Now that we've seen (and loved) it during fashion week (I'm looking at you, Dior and street style stars), we might be tempted to give it a try."
