4 Simple Ways to Remove Dog Hair From Your Clothes
One of the most common problems pet owners face is getting dog hair (or cat hair) on, well, everything, from furniture to clothing. And come springtime, the shedding increases even more. One quick snuggle with your canine friend and your freshly washed shirt ends up covered in fur, leaving you asking yourself, "Now what?" A lint roller certainly gets the job done, but there are other methods one can use. Below, we've put together a how-to guide for removing dog hair from clothing that will make the entire process easy (and fun).
1. A good lint roller can do the job.
Sometimes, all one needs to quickly and efficiently remove pet hair is a lint roller. But there are cheaper ones that simply don't work as well (and can be very wasteful). So instead, consider investing in a durable, long-term lint roller you can use when you're in a time crunch.
2. Dampen your hands to remove pet hair.
Another easy way to remove dog hair from your clothing is to dampen your hands and wipe them, using a downward motion, over the section covered in fur. The hair will start to ball up (and stick to your hands), making it easy to pick off. Repeat as often as needed.
3. Use rubber gloves to create static.
Put on a pair of rubber gloves, dampen them, and run them over the area covered in fur. The static will cause the hairs to cling onto the rubber glove. Once they're covered, wash the gloves, and repeat as needed.
4. Use a balloon to, again, create static.
Yes, we're serious—and it'll make the hair removal process fun. Just blow up a balloon, and rub it against the fabric. The static created by this friction will lift the hairs off, and bam, hair-free clothing.
