Every holiday season, my fellow editors never fail to give the gift of chic holiday looks. They may not know it, but I always keep my eyes peeled for the next cool 'fit they'll wear to an after-work event or weekend gathering. Calendars are filling up with dinners, press previews, and holiday parties, so I caught up with our associate fashion editor, Yusra Siddiqui to get the inside scoop on her holiday looks, and all I can say is she had me at "Anthropologie."

Siddiqui considers Anthropologie her go-to for holiday dressing because the store is always so in tune with whatever season it is. "With its own in-house brands and a variety of other popular brands, you're bound to find something unique you love," she says. There's no shortage of joyful accessories, cozy knits, and party dresses that feel fresh and different from everything else on the market. (My current shopping cart is proof of that.) She describes her style as "cool and edgy but always comfortable." She often goes for outfits that feel polished yet relaxed and easy, and you'll get a taste of that below. She and Anthropologie's Head of Styling, Kyla Flax, put together three chic looks, and I'm swooning. If you want to see how these outfits came to life along with some pro styling tips from Flax, just keep scrolling.

"Knit dresses are an easy way to look put-together while feeling cozy during these colder months, and the leather coat is my favorite detail because it adds such a cool and edgy element to the entire look. I love the gray and black in the look, and the brown suede boots fit right in." — Yusra Siddiqui, associate fashion editor

"You can't go wrong with a slick city look. A lot of people think you can't mix gray, black, and brown, but all together, they feel like a '90s rom-com main character. I like the square sunnies as an outfit finisher." — Kyla Flax, Head of Styling, Anthropologie

"This outfit was already perfect for a day out, but the red tights add the finishing touch. Something about colorful tights just screams 'holidays,' and I couldn't imagine this outfit without them. I also like the difference in texture between the soft cardigan and leather skirt. There's a lot more dimension than if I were to wear a simple dress." — Siddiqui

"For the holidays, we are so excited by the color red. It's so easy to incorporate into your party look. I love these red tights surrounded by shades of gray!" — Flax

"Just because you're wearing a sweater and trousers doesn't mean the outfit is boring—especially when you've got extremely wide-leg pants and a double belt to create interest. It's one belt that has the look of two, which makes the classic outfit combination feel fresh. I love this outfit because the cardigan and trousers feel classic, but the belt and heeled mules bring the whole look to life." — Siddiqui

"For a relaxed holiday take, try a slouchy trouser and yummy cardigan. You will feel comfortable but completely pulled together." — Flax

Yusra is fully prepared to take these looks and Kyla's styling tips right into the holiday season, but her work isn't done. You can find her shopping at Anthropologie for more looks (Can you blame her?) and all of the chicest gifts to give her friends and family this year.
