It's Official: These H&M Jumpers Are Raking In the 5-Star Reviews
Few high-street brands have a hold on us like H&M. Season after season, year after year, the Scandinavian giant continues to impress us with their offering of elevated, good quality, yet affordable hits that become firm favourites in our wardrobes. This winter, this statement rings particularly true thanks to its sensationally good knitwear offering. Frequently racking up 5 star customer reviews, and with a huge variety of styles, fabrications and colours, H&M’s knitwear selection is, without a doubt, one of the best on the high street. And the cherry on top of it’s cosy cake this year is its best-selling oversized polo neck, a jumper I just so happen to own and very much love.
As a summer dress obsessive (and a June baby), my friends, family and colleagues have had to deal with my autumn/winter wardrobe stress for many years now. Unlike my fellow editors, I struggle with tailoring, trousers and other winter classics, so I know the importance of key pieces that work for me, which I can wear in multiple ways and that will—most importantly—will keep me warm during the colder months. And the foundation to this, in my eyes, is always great knitwear.

My failsafe look when the weather turns chilly is always the knit, jeans and heeled boots combo. Comfy yet polished, I feel instantly put together in my oversized jumper, dark-wash denim and favourite footwear. This year, I'll also be wearing the brand's bestselling knits with leggings, knee-high boots and a wool coat, layering them over my favourite dresses, and dressing them down with chunky boots and denim at the weekend. When it comes to party season, I can't wait to wear the relaxed-style jumpers with a mini skirt, heeled mules and statement earrings.
This year, there are more than a few new H&M knits that have caught my eye. Scroll down to discover the best oversized polos to buy now.

Grey doesn't need to just be paired with black. Try wearing it to with navy items for a Parisian feel.
H&M's cashmere offering is one of the best on the high street right now. I love this sleek, all-black longline style.
The brand's best-selling polo neck now comes in this pretty blue shade.
When I don't know what to wear, I always return to a striped jumper and jeans.
I have a feeling this new-in jumper is going to be very popular... Wear yours with leather trousers, leggings, jeans and more.
Charcoal is starting to emerge as a key colour this season. Wear this with black leather trousers and heeled boots for a polished take.
Cable knits are really having a moment. I'll wear this over all my floral dresses.
I have this and can confirm it is so comfy. It's fairly long in length, so consider a cropped style if you're petite.
One of the best things about H&M's knitwear is that it spans a range of price points and sizes, as well as styles. This classic knit comes in at under £20 and is sure to be a wardrobe hero.

This cardigan is so popular, and for good reason. I'd wear mine with wide-leg trousers or leggings and some classic trainers.
If you're looking to mix up your monochrome winter wardrobe, a beige knit is the perfect, subtle intro into other shades.
Is it just me who loves a knitted the vest? They are without a doubt the most stylish way to add an extra layer.
I love this slightly cropped style, especially when wearing high-waisted trousers or jeans.
Poppy joined the Who What Wear UK team as managing editor in 2022. After graduating from university with a degree in English literature, she worked for a number of print and digital publications, including Women's Health, The Times, Hello! and Marie Claire. In these roles she assisted the fashion teams with print content as well as digital shopping features, shoots and celebrity news.
Prior to Who What Wear, Poppy worked at SheerLuxe as the commercial content manager. There she oversaw all paid-for site content and inclusions, managed the visual assets and briefs for branded content, and ensured all content—whether editorial or commercial—was in line with overall brand guidelines and tone. She also supported the editorial team by looking after visual merchandising on site and reviewing the brand’s daily newsletters.
As WWW UK’s managing editor, Poppy spends most of her time looking after the content calendar and all output across the brand, in addition to working with contributors, supporting with social media planning, assisting with branded content and contributing to brand strategy. Poppy prides herself on being organised, and a keen eye for detail means she oversees the production of tentpole moments such as Who What Wear’s quarterly celebrity covers, the Wedding Issue, team shoots, events, industry-facing moments, gift guides and more. In addition to this, Poppy ensures processes across the brand are efficient and effective, and is always on the lookout for ways the team can work smarter, not harder! As someone who works behind the scenes (Poppy loves a spreadsheet!), you won’t find many articles by Poppy on site, but when you do there’s no doubt they will either be focused on dresses, handbags or classic high-street buys. Or better yet, all three!
Born and raised in London, Poppy is a true city girl. When she's not thinking about clothes (or raiding her mum’s wardrobe), Poppy fills her time walking along the river with her 11-year-old labradoodle, getting stuck in a good book and enjoying as many of the city’s amazing restaurants and bars as her purse will allow! Her favourite London spots are Caravel for dinner, the Ham Yard Hotel for a fancy pre-theatre drink, Daunt Books for a new read, 26Grains for breakfast and Coal Drop's Yard for a spot of shopping.
