H&M's New $15 Top Hits on the 2020 Trend That Won't Quit
What do Chanel, Gucci, Ganni, and a host of It girls all agree on? That statement collars are where it's at right now. Yes, the trend has been bubbling up for a little while now, but the F/W 20 runways confirmed that it will continue going strong next season as well. And when H&M has a new version that's a mere $15, it's all the more evidence that statement collars are a trend worth investing in.
H&M's Collar-Detail T-Shirt ($15) is right on the money. It's a basic T-shirt silhouette, which makes it incredibly easy to wear, but the ruffled collar detail makes it perfectly on-trend. (Plus, it comes in both white and black!) It will look chic on its own, but many It girls like layering a thin sweater over the blouse and popping the collar out. Scroll down to see how a variety of women are wearing the statement collar trend and shop versions by H&M and others.

Ganni helped start this trend, so the brand's sleeveless version is definitely worth the investment.

Yep, I'd also style this top with denim shorts.
I can't decide what I love more: the frilly collar or the peplum hemline.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
