Sorry, Jeans—I'll Be Wearing These Trousers All Spring Instead

Sorry, jeans. It’s not you; it’s us. Tailored trousers are just comfier and more polished. We still love you. We’re just on a break. Anyone else with us? Twenty twenty-two is already proving to be the year of the trouser, from leather to wide-leg and everything in between. The whole Who What Wear UK team is currently obsessed with chic tailored ones. One pair, in particular, from H&M fits the bill perfectly: the new Ankle-Length Trousers, which are appealing not only for their under-£20 price tag but also for their expensive-looking quality and fit.

They’ve been selling like hot cakes since they dropped on H&M’s website recently (they were by far the most wanted trousers on Who What Wear last week from our data), and they’ve received over 650 reviews already—the majority glowing, with an average of four stars. Most are reporting back that they come up slightly small for sizing, but other than that, the fit, material and design are all being hailed as extremely flattering with a premium feel.

Unsurprisingly, my fellow editors and I have all added them to our baskets this week since it’s obvious there’s something really special about them. Although at first they may seem like your average "boring” pair of black (or cream) trousers, it’s always those wardrobe basics you end up leaning on the most, and we can totally see ourselves wearing these on repeat with a ribbed vest top and trainers or chunky sandals this spring.

Keep scrolling to shop them before they inevitably sell out.
