I Tried On 100s of High-Street Blazers—These 10 Spring Styles Stood Out
I'll admit it, I'm an absolute sucker for high street fashion. Of course, we all enjoy the odd splurge every now on then—especially on those items we've been eyeing up for a while and know will be staples in our wardrobes for years to come. That being said, there's nothing quite like heading to Oxford Street to dive head first into the best variety of the great British high street. With the boom in online shopping over the last few years, my bedroom has doubled into a makeshift changing room and dispatch centre for all my returns, meaning I’m rarely afforded the opportunity to step into my favourite stores anymore.
As a teenager, some of my best days were spent window shopping in and around central London. So, despite missing some absolute classics (That corner doesn't look the same without Topshop, and we're just grateful it's now available on ASOS!) I had a fabulous time trying on some of the best of the best on the high street, all in the name of work. And one classic item that stood out time and time again while I was trying on the new-season collections was the blazer. What I found was truly perfection; from bright blazers perfect for spring to classic houndstooth styles that will work in the office and beyond, the amount on offer was absolutely endless. And all at reasonable price points, too.
The pieces I spotted were so impressive, it was hard to choose only 10. However, I’ve tried my very best to narrow it down to my absolute favourites. Scroll down to discover the best high-street blazers available in stores now, as well as my honest thoughts on cut, colour and fit.
1. ARKET'S JEWEL COLOURED BLAZER
Style Notes: I absolutely loved this blazer from Arket. The blue was so vivid and I think it would look perfect paired with some light wash jeans and a white vest. I decided to style this one with some beige suit trousers and a dark brown sweater.

2. H&M'S CLASSIC BLAZER
Style Notes: Traditionally I'm a houndstooth only blazer kinda girl, so when it comes to beige blazers, I'm never truly sold...Until now. I love how chic this muted colour way is as well as the front pocket detail. To make it less corporate, I added a little pop of colour with a red tank top underneath and love how it turned out!

3. H&M'S BARBIECORE BLAZER
Style Notes: This pink blazer had me totally sold. I tried on the matching suit trousers but think it might have been just *a little* too much. The fit of this blazer was total perfection, the slight padding on the shoulders meant it sat perfectly and I didn't feel as though it was too oversized.

4. & OTHER STORIES'S FITTED BLAZER
Style Notes: So I really didn't expect to love this piece as much as I did. Orange isn't usually my go to colour, but I thought I'd step out my comfort zone, and I'm so glad I did. Jewel coloured blazers are dominating the high street at the moment, and what makes this one so special is the fit. The asymmetric fit is so flattering and I really love the lapels on this style, too.

5. & OTHER STORIES TWEED BLAZER
Style Notes: I saw variations of these blazers all over the high street. Initially, I styled this up with a pair of black trousers and nothing under, which looked super chic for a night out. Then I decided to make it look a little bit more me, so II layered it over a graphic, brighter jumper & paired it with some straight leg denim jeans. I love how structural this one is and if it's got shoulder pads count me in.

6. MANGO HOUNDSTOOTH BLAZER
Style Notes: I'm not exaggerating when I tell you, people were bee-lining for this blazer. The blue houndstooth makes it the perfect transitional piece moving into Spring. I decided to layer mine over a classic black roll neck & some leggings to create a put-together but not hugely complex look.

7. ZARA RELAXED FIT BLAZER
Style Notes: Of all the blazers tried on in the name of 'research' this was the one I fell for the most. I'm not entirely sure if it was the matching suit trousers that sold it to me, but I'm obsessing over both the colour and the fit. This one was generally slightly larger than the others I'd tried (so possibly a bit of a #manrepeller) but I felt so chic in it. That being said, to all my fellow petite girls- If you're opting for the full look, the trousers will likely need to be hemmed!

8. ZARA BELTED BLAZER
Style Notes: This blazer gave me serious *that* Raey Blazer Vibes. I think the belt detail on this one was really cool, it cinched me in at the waist and was super flattering. It also adds a little more to your classic black blazer, and means it can easily be dressed up or dressed down on occasion. Dare I say you could also probably opt to wear this one as a dress? If you're not feeling brave enough, throw on over a short black mini skirt and you're good to go.

9. ZARA CROPPED BLAZER
Style Notes: This cropped gingham blazer was giving me Meredith Blake energy, and I am so here for that. Not so keen on a cropped style? No problem, layer a longer length t-shirt or cardigan of choice underneath to create an effortless finish.
PS: This one probably takes the cake as my favourite blazer of the bunch. I'm seriously debating whether I need this & the matching mini skirt imminently...

10. REISS TIE-FRONT BLAZER
Style Notes: This blazer is absolute perfection, and I know I'll get so much wear out of it as we head into the summer months. I can picture layering this over a gorgeous summer dress & some basic white trainers. The tie detail (removable if you'd like!) helps cinch me in at the waist, which makes it a super flattering choice too. It is on the high-end side of the high street, but if you're looking for an investment that still feels reasonable compared to designer styles, it is worth it.
