Of all the summers, this particular one has been special to me. After four years of living in New York, this summer was the first that really felt like a true East Coast summer. My family lives on the West Coast, and I often escape to Los Angeles during the summer, but this time around, I spent basically all of July escaping the city for the Hamptons every weekend.

I wore striped sweaters, ate lobster rolls, and stayed at the beautiful Canoe Place Inn & Cottages, which has been one of my bucket-list hotels for the longest time, and the property is definitely worth the hype. All of my Hamptons fantasies came true, and now that I've had my first true East Coast summer, I plan to make this an annual thing. While spending my weekends out East, I definitely saw the shift from NYC chic to Hamptons classic, and there were tons of trends I kept seeing over and over. From beach days at Gurney's to cocktails at Showfish, the same five trends kept popping up at every turn.

Keep scrolling to see the five chic trends that the Hamptons crowd is wearing on repeat.

White Midi Dresses

When it comes to a classic New England–chic look, you can never go wrong with a white midi dress. The quiet-luxury crowd really loves this one. This is also the perfect opportunity to show off statement accessories since this dress is simple yet still sophisticated. There's nothing more summery than a good white midi dress.

All-Black Looks

When it comes to an all-black outfit, most of us associate those looks with fall or winter, but lately, I've been seeing more and more black-on-black looks out East. There is nothing more NYC than an all-black outfit, so it makes sense that tons of black pieces make their way into the suitcases of stylish New Yorkers when they're packing for a Hamptons weekend. I'm personally a huge fan of the dramatic all-black look above. It looks so pretty with the background of the Hamptons.

Statement Earrings

I am declaring this the summer of statement earrings. From the teardrop Bottega Earrings that everyone can't get enough of to under-the-sea-inspired jewelry, every stylish person I know has started to grow their statement-earring collection. I wore these seashell earrings out my first weekend in the Hamptons this summer and received so many compliments.

Bold Maxi Dresses

I know everyone can't stop talking about all things quiet luxury, but bold maxi dresses we're still on display everywhere in the Hamptons this summer. It's something about the warm weather and days in the sun that just make you want to add a little bit of color to the mix. I'm personally a huge fan and wear bold maxi dresses any chance I get.

Voluminous Skirts

Move over, miniskirts and fitted skirts—voluminous A-line skirts are here to stay. I have been seeing skirts like these all over my Instagram feed, and sure enough, the Hamptons crowd was also loving the trend. Fashion person and stylish New Yorker Cortne Bonilla wore this look to an intimate dinner out East, and I can't get enough of it.
