The Fall 2016 Way to Wear a Plaid Shirt

One of Hailey Baldwin's sartorial special skills is to take practically any item in her closet and style it in a way that's alluring and cool. The latest example of her skill in action was her effortless way of wearing a decidedly not alluring piece: a flannel plaid shirt. Baldwin ingeniously took the current cool way to wear your jacket—off the shoulders—and applied that to the flannel shirt by buttoning all but the top few buttons and pulling one side off of her shoulder. It instantly makes the old favorite shirt style very of the moment for fall 2016, and it's an easy way to jazz up an outfit that could otherwise seem a little basic. Baldwin paired her Saint Laurent men's plaid shirt with leather skinny pants and ankle boots, which were the perfect match for the oversize top. (Ditto in the case of leggings and skinny jeans.)
