The "Boring" Shoes I Wear With Every Type of Outfit
A healthy dose of skepticism about hyped-up items is oftentimes a good thing. But when it comes to a fashion item that's both hyped up and approved by trusted sources who say it's amazing and life-changing, I tend to want it for myself sans-skepticism. That was the case when the Gucci Jordaan and Princetown loafers were released in 2015. The price tag was a tough pill to swallow (although they were cheaper when I bought them…), and they're definitely somewhat of a "boring" pair of shoes, but I've worn my black Gucci loafers more than any other pair of shoes in my closet and have come up with countless Gucci loafer outfits. I've even added the red backless loafers to my shoe collection after falling in love with the first pair. I wear them with every type of jeans, shorts, trousers, skirts, overalls, leggings, and even fancy dresses. I can't explain it, but they magically look good with every type of outfit.
I could've gotten 15 pairs of shoes for what these two pairs cost, but the price per wear must be miraculously low at this point. They're hands down the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. So much so that I take them on every trip I take (and usually wear them to the airport) and I've walked for miles in them with zero blisters. The good thing about boring shoes is that they're usually pretty timeless, and I hope and pray that's the case with my trusty Gucci loafers.
Read on to see some of the outfits I wear my Gucci loafers with and to shop them (and more affordable loafer options).
They're my constant travel companions.
I love the way they look with these fancy pink pants.
This is probably the outfit I wear with them the most.
Shorts + Gucci loafers? You bet!

I think I was successful in my attempt to make this Réalisation dress more casual.
Fun fact: These are actually leggings.
There's a lot going on with this outfit, but I think the shoes tie it all together.
